DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: lots of little scars and some big ones, too--most notably a sizable scar on his back from a saber wound. several tattoos, most notably a star with five points on the left side of his chest, an anchor between the thumb and forefinger of his right hand, a swallow stabbed by a dagger dagger on his right forearm, a ship in full sail on his left forearm, a curled dragon on his left bicep.

Darras is a pirate captain, loosely and occasionally associated with the Raiders of the Waking Sea but mostly in it for himself and his crew. his ship, the Fancy, has been involved in a number of heists and mid-profile raids, mostly centered in the Waking Sea, the Amaranthine Ocean, and Rialto Bay.

Darras, as a captain, is known for taking risks, fighting like a demon, more or less worshiping personal freedom--and for his fairness and his good humor. after a raid, he'll kill ship's officers, but will allow those of lower rank to join his crew or jump overboard and swim for home. his recent and ultra-violent exception to that practice was a little over two months ago. in a raid on a merchant convoy of six ships, led by the Bronze Dawn, Darras and his crew killed the whole lot and burned the ships.
